This stadium provides a venue for both sports events and music events. The two stands on either side of the central space house provide an opportunity for music events to be played in the round and avoids the need for the sports pitch to be accessed during such events. The glazed entrance area provides views through to the stadium for those arriving, as well providing the primary access routes up to the seating areas. Seats are arranged on a single tier in order to provide a single spatial experience for all spectators. Refreshment areas and supporting utilities are set at the rear of each stand to reduce the need for visitors to move around the stadium during an event. These hospitality areas, set at the outer edge of the cantilevered stands, are serviced directly from outside, from below. This approach separates the activity spaces from the service functions; providing a more immersive spectator experience.
